We supply flanged butterfly valves in the two series FD and RDB-LK. Depending on the requirements, materials made of steel and stainless steel are used.
A flanged butterfly valve is a valve used to regulate the flow of liquids or gases in a pipeline. Unlike weld-in butterfly valves, a flanged butterfly valve is attached directly to the pipeline via flanges.
Flanged butterfly valves are available in different sizes and materials and can be designed for different requirements such as high temperatures, corrosion resistance or hygienic requirements. The size of the butterfly valve depends on the size of the pipeline and the required flow.
The butterfly valve is usually operated manually by turning a handwheel or automatically by an electric or pneumatic actuator. If required, a position controller can also be installed to precisely control the flow.
Flanged butterfly valves are used in various industries such as chemical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, as well as power and water supply. They are a cost-effective solution for flow control and can be quickly and easily integrated into existing piping systems. However, compared to weld-in butterfly valves, flanged butterfly valves are often slightly more expensive as they require additional components such as flanges and gaskets.
